About the study of Informatics
In recent times, the development of information technologies is increasingly affecting society as a whole, such as economics, medicine and other sciences. At the study of Informatics, professional contents are supplemented with methodical and pedagogical-psychological contents. The aim of this study is to enable students to successfully and socially responsibly transfer information knowledge to young generations, with independent use of the latest computer technology in related and diverse IT applications. Apart from being a single subject, the study of Informatics is also realized as a double subject in combination with other study groups. The curriculum is based on practical problem solving with the help of programming languages such as Python, Java and C/C++ with an emphasis on open technologies. Students have the opportunity to get acquainted with game development software frameworks such as PyGame and Phaser.io, learn how to create a website and set it up on a server, learn data management programming languages such as SQL, and ultimately learn how to become a programmer and how a computer scientist thinks.
